Happy Hour Yoga

NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LARYNGITIS.

Join us on the plaza for a free 60 minute Vinyasa style yoga class to move, flow, and open your body, heart, and mind. This is an opportunity for beginners and seasoned yogis.

Donations accepted for The Howard County Hospital Foundation.

This class is taught by local yoga teacher Missy Radcliffe and will take place every Wednesday in June and July. All are welcome.

Yappy Hour with Calvin Thomas

Your favorite pup wants to go to Yappy Hour at the Commons!

Yappy is hour is live music on the plaza, dogs very welcome! You and your furry friend can eat dinner at one of the restaurant patios or have a take-out picnic on the grassy circle and then just enjoy hanging out with great local music and friendly neighbors.

This month enjoy the music of local singer-songwriter Calvin Thomas.

Yappy Hour is every Second Tuesday, May through October. Free; all are welcome.

Friday Music: Craig Cummings & the Wildcards

Join us on the plaza for a free concert with Craig Cummings & the Wildcards!

Craig Cummings is a performing songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland. He has written hundreds of songs, recorded and released three CDs, and performed in countless venues throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Craig uses his love of language, his strong voice, and rhythmic guitar style to craft songs that depict first-person accounts of life’s twists and turns, spot-on depictions of contemporary characters, and stories about love and loss.

The band Craig Cummings & the Wildcards performs roots rock renditions of classic and contemporary songs, and their ever expanding list of original music drives listeners to get up and dance – or simply sit back and enjoy the show. The Wildcards are composed of some of DC’s finest musicians – Gantt Kushner (guitar), Jim Robeson (bass), and Bob Berberich (drums).

All Level Flow Yoga on the Plaza

Energize your body, free your mind, and ignite your soul with a 60-minute yoga class accessible to all levels. Whether you’re just dipping your toes into yoga or are an advanced yogi, Rebecca’s classes offer a supportive environment to flow, play, learn, and grow.

Rebecca Aaron, RYT200.  Rebecca discovered yoga in 2002 and has been an avid practitioner ever since. Over the years she has practiced and fallen in love with Ashtanga, Baptiste, and Vinyasa styles of yoga. Rebecca’s classes draw on elements of each of these styles, as well as her roots in modern dance. Rebecca earned her 200 hour certification in Power Yoga at YogaLove in Howard County, MD.

$17 drop-in; $140 for a 10-class pack.
