Friday Music: The Moxie Blues Band

Dance your way into the weekend with the Moxie Blues Band!
The Moxie Blues Band plays a unique variety of music covering a wide range of blues, blues rock, southern rock and a bit of funk/motown for good measure.

Enjoy the music while dining on one of the restaurant patios or order take-out for a picnic on the plaza.

Free; all are welcome.
Chairs and blankets encouraged. Dancing shoes suggested.

Earth Day Celebration

This year our annual Earth Day celebration will include environmental non-profits, local farmers, green-minded crafters and businesses, renewable energy companies, presentations by a local geologist/author and an ecology-inspired sculptor… and an electric vehicle display and EV owners meet-up.

If you will be bringing your electric vehicle, please register on the Commons’ page on the Drive Electric Earth Day website

Local geologist and author Ned Tillman will be speaking in the Community Room at 1:15pm about the history of the Chesapeake region and his soon-to-be published new book. Copies of all his books will be available for purchase.
Paul Steinkoenig will be speaking about his sculpture, ‘Solar Hope,’ which was installed on the plaza last August in the Community Room at 3:15pm.
