Meet us on the plaza for a community square dance!

Janine Smith will call to the music of The Organic Family Band.

All ages and all experience levels are welcome to join in the fun. Janine is an experienced caller from the DC area who will teach you everything you need to know, guide you through each dance, and make sure you have a great time along the way. The Organic Family band is based in Baltimore, is actually a family, and will wow you with their musical talent.

The dance is free and all are welcome.

Attract Hummingbirds to Your Garden

Howard County Master Gardener Beth Blum Spiker’s presentation will include information on hummingbird behavior as well as suggestions on what to plant in your hummingbird-friendly garden.

Using Citizen Science to Guide Your Gardening Practices

There are dozens of Citizen Science projects begging for backyard data you can provide, like bird counts, butterfly appearances, and when your flowers bloom. Join local Master Gardener Ann Coren to learn how you can use the data you collect to improve your garden, as well as benefit scientific research. She’ll explain Project Bud Burst, Project Feeder Watch, Monarch Watch, and Million Pollinator Gardens, among others.

Free, all are welcome.
