Dirty Grass Players on the Plaza

Join us at the Commons for a free concert by The Dirty Grass Players!

Emerging from the storied bluegrass scene in Baltimore, is The Dirty Grass Players, who are keeping alive the rich tradition of progressive bluegrass. Their music straddles the gap between the traditional and the modern with an infection, forward-thinking sound that can easily move from a simple, sweetly picked tune to an adventurous, inspired jam. Coming from areas all around Baltimore, each player brings a different set of influences to the table: Alex Berman (banjo/vocals), Ben Kolakowski (guitar/vocals), Alex Tocco (fiddle/vocals), Ryan Rogers (mandolin), Colin Rappa (bass fiddle).

Jamming at the Commons; sponsored by Everett Jewelers

Local musicians! Join us around the outdoor fireplace for an evening of casual jamming!

All instruments, all ages, and all skill levels are very welcome – this friendly gathering is to have fun and encourage one another.

Please bring a few songs with simple chord structures that others can easily play along with. Musicians will take turns playing lead lines along with the rhythms. You’ll be encouraged to sing the songs you bring, but you don’t have to if you’re feeling shy.

A few guitars will be available for borrowing during the jam.

Any questions, please email: reverett@everettjewelers.com or info@clarksvillecommons.com.
