Farmers Market – May 13
Saturdays are farmers market day at the Commons!
Stop by and take home something delicious!
Everything sold at our market is grown, raised, or made in the Chesapeake region. You’ll find local produce, meats, eggs, sweet and savory treats, locally grown flowers, adult beverages, and handmade crafts.
The Commons is pleased to be partnering with Maryland Money Market again this year. MMM matches SNAP and FMNP benefits for purchases at the market – now with unlimited matching!
Tasty Empanadas: empanadas
Kora Lee’s Cafe: savory entrees & vegan baked goods
Twin Valley Distillers: assorted spirits
Urban Winery: assorted wines
Haven Oak Garden Bakery: artisanal breads
Local musician Richard Rowe will perform during this week’s market.
Our friends from Beyond Rhetoric will be on the plaza sharing about and fundraising for their work in Maryland’s juvenile detention centers.
Local author Ambika Siddabathula will join the market this week with her newly published children’s book, Santhari’s Magical Bindi. She will do readings of the book at 11am, 12pm, and 1pm, and all are welcome to gather around to listen.
