Earth Day Celebration POSTPONED

April 22, 2023
1pm - 4pm

DUE TO THE STORMY FORECAST, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO SATURDAY, MAY 6, 10AM-2PM.

This year our annual Earth Day celebration will include environmental non-profits, local farmers, green-minded crafters and businesses, renewable energy companies, presentations by a local geologist/author and an ecology-inspired sculptor… and an electric vehicle display and EV owners meet-up.

If you will be bringing your electric vehicle, please register on the Commons’ page on the Drive Electric Earth Day website

Local geologist and author Ned Tillman will be speaking in the Community Room at 1:15pm about the history of the Chesapeake region and his just-published new book. Copies of all his books will be available for purchase.
Paul Steinkoenig will be speaking about his sculpture, ‘Solar Hope,’ which was installed on the plaza last August in the Community Room at 3:15pm.
Pre-registration is requested for the Earth Day speakers:
